Happy Retirement, Coach Kibler!
After one last successful weekend of games this past weekend, Eclipse Select Coach and Director Brian Kibler, is officially entering retirement.
Kibler has experienced great success in his long-standing career; coaching in six different countries, leading the Chicago Red Star Women’s Reserve team to a final four appearance, coaching three State Cup Championship teams, and assisting in the development of numerous professional players. Along with those successes, he has also held the titles of IYSA coach educator and IYSA Olympic Development Program Coach.
Since joining the Eclipse Select Soccer Club in July 2005, Kibler has spent the last 17 years contributing to the success of the club, as well as the growth of countless players at all ages. From running tots programs to coaching top teams at the ECNL level, Kibler truly has done it all.
When asked what he loves most about coaching, Kibler says, “having a positive impact on young people lives and to help them accomplish their goals and dreams by treating players with respect, expecting results, loving what we do and who we work with, trusting them, guiding them and providing them with the tools to succeed without smothering their creativity, or personality”.
“Brian Kibler has been an incredible asset to the club. He has been one of the longest serving and dedicated coaches we have ever had. His commitment to the Eclipse philosophy and the betterment of the players is second to none. Brian will be missed by the staff and the countless Eclipse families he has served in his time with the club” – Mike Nesci, Eclipse Select Soccer Club President.
We wish him the best in this next phase of his life with his wife, Michelle, and their daughters Naomi, Ayla, Zoe.
