WEEK 2 2023 RUNDOWN- ECLIPSE SELECT ALUMNI

Eclipse Select Alumni kept the momentum from week one, and had strong performances yet again for week two of the collegiate season! Major storylines included senior forward Allison Rapaduski (Algonquin, IL.) adding to her now 3-game scoring streak with goals in UND’s games against both MSU Moorhead (2-0) and Austin Peay (1-1), as well as junior Ella Richards (Chicago, IL.) who scored both goals in Boston College’s win over San Jose State.


GOALSCORERS

Our alumni had no trouble finding the back of the net this past weekend, with 12 players adding goals to their stat sheet! Wildcats Ingrid Falls (Lake Forest, IL.), Bridgett Mitchell (Lake Forest, IL.), and Emma Phillips (Munster, IN.) all played integral parts in Northwestern’s success over the weekend in their games against Oakland (7-0) and Toledo (3-1). Falls notched a pair of assists against Oakland and a goal at Toledo, while Mitchell and Phillips each contributed a goal in their victory over Oakland. Kiki Van Zanten (Buffalo Grove, IL.) found her first of the season in the Irish’s 4-1 win over Butler, as well as an assist in Sunday’s match against Arkansas (2-2).

Zivana Labovic (Schererville, IN.) got her second of the season in the Spartan’s 7-0 win at Northern Colorado. Sophomore Riley Philbin (Northbrook, IL.) logged her first of the season in the Badger’s match against Duke (1-2). Scout Murray (Chicago, IL.)  found her second of the season in Ohio’s game against Navy (1-1). Xcaret Pineda (Bolingbrook, IL.) scored her first of the year in the Cowgirls’ 8-0 win over Little Rock. Julia Simon (Wheaton, IL.), Kiara Pralle (Bourbonnais, IL.), and Dakota Lyons (Mettawa, IL.) each scored their first collegiate goals this past weekend. Simon dug out a goal and assist for the Billikens in their 8-0 win against Kansas City, Pralle found the back of the net in both of Lipscombs matches against Alabama (1-3) and Siena (3-2), and Lyons’ goal versus Montana pushed the Buckeyes to a 2-2 tie.


NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Morgan Fagan (Glencoe, IL.) found her first assist of the season in the Terriers 3-2 win over UAlbany. Freshman Bella Najera (St. Charles, IL.) got her first collegiate assist as a Spartan in MSU’s 7-0 win over Northern Colorado. Junior keeper Ary Purifoy (Machesney Park, IL.)  helped the Cowgirls extend their clean sheet through the weekend in their victories over Florida Atlantic and Little Rock, with a total of 7 big saves on the season so far.


Over 100 Eclipse Select Soccer Club alumni, both male and female, are rostered across every level of college soccer at Division I, II, III, and NAIA. There are 34 alumni designated as freshmen entering their first year of college. The remaining includes 31 sophomores, 36 juniors, 19 seniors, and one graduate student with an additional year of eligibility.
