WEEK 14 RUNDOWN 2022- Eclipse Select Alumni

With the collegiate postseason closing in on the final games of the season, our alumni still making their championship runs have given stellar performances yet again this past weekend!

Notre Dame’s College Cup playoff run this year is making history, with a 50-3-1 record all-time in the NCAA Tournament and 11-1-2 at home this season. The Irish have punched their ticket to the Elite Eight of the NCAA College Cup thanks to notable performances this past weekend from both Kiki Van Zanten (SR/Buffalo Grove, IL.) and Korbin Albert (SO/Grayslake, IL.). Van Zanten and Albert combined for a total of 3 goals and 1 assist in the Irish’s 4-0 win against Santa Clara, tallying 16 on the season for Albert and 7 for Van Zanten thus far. Van Zanten also notched her 4th assist of the year in their 2-0 victory over TCU. For the first time since 2012, the Irish will play in the quarterfinal match against No. 2 seed North Carolina this Saturday in South Bend.

The postseason has been an exciting ride for Erin Oleksak (SR/Palatine, IL.) and the Marian Knights as well in the NAIA National Tournament. Oleksak has proven to be a driving force for the Knights offense this season, tallying 19 goals and 11 assists thus far. A lone goal from Oleksak in their match versus Campbellsville University was enough to punch Marian’s ticket to the NAIA Women’s Soccer Championship final site in Orange Beach, Alabama on December 1.
