WEEK 9 2022 RUNDOWN- Eclipse Select Alumni
Our alumni had an exceptionally successful week of play across the collegiate landscape. A special storyline of the weekend came from junior Zivana Labovic (JR/Schererville, IN.) scoring a beautiful header goal in the first four minutes of the game, pushing the Spartans to a big 1-0 victory over Indiana.

GOALSCORERS
Brennan Rzewuski (JR/Lombard, IL.) scored his first goal of the season for the Drake Bulldogs in the 22nd minute, ending in a 2-0 win over Belmont. Gabbie Cesarone (SR/St. Charles, IL.) scored the equalizer for the Gophers in the 59th minute against Rutgers, ending in a 2-2 draw. Hannah Johnstone (SO/Joliet, IL.) scored her first collegiate goal for Trinity in the 82nd minute, beating Schreiner with a final score of 9-0. Kiki Van Zanten (SR/Buffalo Grove, IL.) scored her fifth goal of the season off a beautiful shot from distance in the 17th minute, marking her third game winner of the season in Notre Dame’s 2-0 win over Louisville. Molly O’Rear (FR/Naperville, IL.) scored her third goal of the season in the 51st minute versus Belmont, pushing Valparaiso to a 2-1 win. Liz Bretchel (SR/Joliet, IL.) tallied her third goal of the season with a game winner for the Salukis in the 65th minute, topping Illinois State 1-0. Erin Oleksak (SR/Palatine, IL.) kickstarted the momentum for the Knights with a goal in the 18th minute of play, scoring her eleventh goal of the season against Huntington in a 5-0 victory. Katie Knutte (SR/Lemont, IL.) scored her third goal of the season in the 75th minute to put the game away for the Tigers, beating Roosevelt 3-0. Madeline Schlecht (JR/Naperville, IL.) tallied her fourth goal of the season in the 67th minute of play against Western Michigan, ending in a 1-0 victory for the Redhawks. Morgan Fagan (SO/Glencoe, IL.) tallied her fifth goal of the season for the Terriers in the first minute of the game, pushing past Holy Cross in a 2-1 victory. Ainsley Ahmadian (SO/Naperville, IL.) scored her sixth goal of the season in the 74th minute for the Crimson, for a 1-1 tie versus Brown.

PLAYMAKERS
Nicole Doucette (JR/Lake Bluff, IL.) and Emma Phillips (SO/Munster, IN.) dual effort earned them an assist for the Cats in the 60th minute, ending in a 3-0 win against Michigan. Jack Finnegan (JR/Hometown, IL.) found his third assist of the season against Maryland in the 55th minute, resulting in a 2-2 tie for the Badgers. Korbin Albert (SO/Grayslake, IL.) helped push the Irish to a 2-0 victory over Louisville with an assist in the 49th minute to secure the win. Hannah Bebar (SO/Naperville, IL.) earned her 7th assist of the season in the 74th minute of play, ending in a 1-1 tie for the Crimson against Brown. Laura Butler (SO/Chicago, IL.) found her fifth assist of the season in the 57th minute for the Mines, ending in a 3-1 win against Fort Lewis.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Ary Purifoy (SO/Machesney Park, IL.) came up with 4 big saves in the Cowgirls 1-0 victory over Iowa State. Gandhi Cruz (SO/Aurora, IL.) had 4 saves in the Blue Devils match against Xavier, ending in a 1-1 tie. Ashton Kudlo (SO/Schererville, IN.) tallied 7 saves in IUPUI’s 3-0 win against Robert Morris, marking her 5th shutout of the season. Tatumn Milazzo and the Chicago Red Stars made a valiant run in the NWSL Playoffs, with their season coming to a close in a tough 2-1 loss against San Diego Wave FC.
Over 95 Eclipse Select Soccer Club alumni, both male and female, are rostered across every level of college soccer at Division I, II, III, and NAIA. There are 28 alumni designated as freshmen entering their first year of college. The remaining includes 34 sophomores, 20 juniors, 8 seniors, and three graduate students with an additional year of eligibility.
