WEEK 5 2022 RUNDOWN- Eclipse Select Alumni

Our alumni had yet another outstanding week of play at both the collegiate and professional level. A major storyline included a pair of goals from Amanda Kowalski and Tatumn Milazzo in the Chicago Red Stars 4-0 win in their match against Kansas City.

GOALSCORERS

Kayla Mccoy found the back of the net for Rangers F.C. in their 6-0 victory over Partick Thistle. Sarah McCracken (FR/Naperville, IL.) tallied another goal for University of North Dakota in their 2-0 win over  UAPB. Morgan Fagan (SO/Glencoe, IL.) scored her third goal of the season for Boston University, topping Lafayette 2-1. Alicia White (SO/Geneva, IL.) scored her first goal of the season in Grand Valley’s 8-0 win against Purdue Northwest. Katie Knutte (SR/Lemont, IL.) scored her second goal of the season in the Tiger’s 7-0 victory over Indiana South Bend.

 

PLAYMAKERS

Sophomore Riley Philbin (SO/Northbrook, IL.) had a beautiful assist for Wisconsin in their 3-0 win over NIU. An assist from Carol Soto-Diaz (SO/Romeoville, IL.) helped to push NC State past High Point 3-1. Mia Milazzo (SR/Orland Park,IL.) tallied her first assist of the season in the Tritons 2-0 win over Quincy. Liz Bretchel (SR/Joliet, IL.) came up big for SIU with an assist in the Salukis 2-2 game against Drake. An assist from Isa Cook (JR/Elmhurst, IL.) helped to propel Marquette to their 2-0 win over Western Michigan. Zivana Labovic (JR/Schereville,IN.) added another assist to her record for the Spartans in their 3-0 victory over Illinois.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Erin Oleksak (SR/ Palatine, IL.) added another goal to her record in the Knights 2-0 win over Northwestern Ohio, as well as being named Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week last week. This past weekend, prior to playing all 90 minutes in UIC’s 2-0 win over Illinois State, Yulexi Diaz (SO/Chicago, IL.)  was chosen to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony at midfield to officially open UIC’s new facility.

 

Over 95 Eclipse Select Soccer Club alumni, both male and female, are rostered across every level of college soccer at Division I, II, III, and NAIA. There are 28 alumni designated as freshmen entering their first year of college. The remaining includes 34 sophomores, 20 juniors, 8 seniors, and three graduate students with an additional year of eligibility.
