Washington Spirit Sign Eclipse Select Alumna, Camryn Biegalski, to a One-Year Deal
OAK BROOK, ILL. (May 7, 2021) – The Washington Spirit has signed Eclipse Select alumna, Camryn Biegalski to a one-year deal with a one-year option. Biegalski has been with the NWSL side since signing a National Team Replacement Contract on April 8th.
Biegalski, a defender from Lombard, Illinois was drafted by Rory Dames and the Chicago Red Stars in the 2020 NWSL Draft appearing in three games. Camryn appeared in three out of the four matches for the Spirit in the NWSL Challenge Cup so far in 2021 and recorded 47 minutes of play.
Biegalski is a four-year alumna from the University of Wisconsin and is still to this day one of the most decorated players in a single season in program history. Second Team All-American (2019), First Team All-North Region (2019), Big Ten Conference Defender of the Year (2019), All-Big Ten First Team (2019), TopDrawer Soccer Team of the Week (2019), Big Ten Conference Regular Season Title (2019), NCAA Sweet 16 (2019), and Four Consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2016-2019). She finished her career with two goals and six assists. As a youth player, Biegalski was in the ECNL Player Development Program for three years. She was an ECNL National Championship Qualifier in 2013 and NSR Gold Cup champion in 2012.
