Eclipse Select Named as One of the “Best Girls Youth Soccer Club for 2020/2021”
OAK BROOK, IL (January 7, 2021) – The Eclipse Select Soccer Club was named as one of the Best Girls Youth Soccer Clubs for 2020/2021 according to TopDrawerSoccer.com. In a news post from the online college and youth soccer news source, a list has been compiled of clubs from around the country and from all the different youth soccer league associations in the united states ranked by the number of players being recruited to the top NCAA Division I conferences.
Eclipse Select comes in tied for eighth with seven players who signed their national letter of intent to play at “Power-Five” programs which include the Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, SEC, and ACC. Solar SC from Dallas, Texas led all clubs in the country with 17 players and notable clubs in the top-ten included PDA, So Cal Blues, Michigan Hawks, Tophat, Dallas Sting, and NC Courage. The Eclipse Select North accounted for four players who met the criteria which placed them within the top 25 tied for 24th.

Julia Simon (Wheaton, Ill.) – University of Louisville
Jenna Stayart (Cary Grove, Ill.) – University of Tennessee
The four players that accounted for the Eclipse Select North ranking from the Class of 2021 included the following:
Sydney Boudreau (Mundelein, Ill.) – Purdue University
Alexa Joshi (Des Plaines, Ill.) – University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Riley Philbin (Northbrook, Ill.) – University of Wisconsin
Alyssa Weede (Arlington Heights, Ill.) – University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
