NATIONAL SIGNING DAY: ECLIPSE SELECT CLASS OF 2018
Eighteen players officially make college commitments to continue next phase of careers
CHICAGO (Feb. 7, 2018) – Eclipse Select Soccer Club is proud to introduce its Class of 2018, which currently includes 18 players who are headed to their respective NCAA and NAIA women’s soccer programs this fall. National Signing Day took place Wednesday and the club and hosted its annual Eclipse Select Signing Night event at Maggiano’s Little Italy in the Oak Brook area.
“On behalf of the entire Eclipse Select family, the club wants to congratulate our players for officially taking the next step in their academic and athletic careers.” Eclipse Select President Rory Dames stated. “I am extremely proud of this class as they continue to carry the rich playing tradition and the success of Eclipse Select Soccer Club to top-tier programs around the country. Every year there is great pride throughout the club in assisting players to reach this goal. The start of the spring schedule is rapidly approaching, but it is always great to take a step back before then and congratulate these players on what they have accomplished.”
Four players from this Eclipse Select class are headed to programs that competed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Defender Caitlin Haislip (Munster, Ind.) is bound for defending Big Ten Tournament Champion Penn. State. The Nittany Lions made it the furthest in the NCAA Tournament amongst all the schools in which Eclipse players have signed for by reaching the quarterfinals last November.
Elsewhere among programs in the 2017 NCAA Tournament field, midfielder Brynn Miller (Saint Charles, Ill.) is bound for defending regular season Big Ten Champion Ohio State. Midfielder Jamie Goralski (Naperville, Ill.) has joined the Tennessee Volunteers who earned an at-large bid from the Southeastern Conference.
Two pairs of from this year’s class will continue to play together as teammates at the collegiate level. Big East Conference side Marquette continues to serve as a close connection to Eclipse Select as midfielder Alyssa Bombacino (Plainfield, Ill.) and defender Katie Koker (Racine, Wis.) join the Golden Eagles. Midfielder Hailey Blanchard (Frankfort, Ill.) and forward Schylar Kinsley (Naperville, Ill.) are headed to the Southeastern Conference together to play for the Mizzou Tigers.

Two Eclipse alumnae have already transitioned to their university beginning college a semester early. Adrianna Naumoski (Crown Point, Ind.) is currently attending Iowa and will play for the Hawkeyes while Amanda Rapaduski (Algonquin, Ill.) is studying at Butler and will compete for the Bulldogs next fall.
