Their 2018 international campaign will begin with training camp and two international matches versus Venezuela. Last year, Van Zanten appeared at five training camps gaining nine caps against opponents including Haiti, Slovenia, England, China, Japan, Italy, Canada and Mexico (twice). She scored once and assisted twice in a 6-0 victory over Italy in the 2nd Tornea Femminile Della Nazioni championship match.
Bebar and Van Zanten are among the 24 women rostered for the 10-day event. The camp features players from 20 clubs and 13 different states from all across the country. The roster consists of 20 players born in 2001 (the cut off year for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup) and four born in 2002.
The two teammates will be joining the U-17 Women’s National Team to compete for roster spots at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay.
The U.S.A. will compete at the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship in Nicaragua from April 19-29. The tournament will qualify three teams for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Both players are teammates on the U-18/19 Eclipse Select Developmental Academy team.
