Athletic Trainer

Joined the Eclipse Select staff as an athletic trainer in August 2015, through Athletico Physical Therapy.

Kelsey comes to the Eclipse with a diverse background of athletic training experience, working in various collegiate settings, as well as outreach with youth sports. In 2014, Kelsey moved to Chicago to work as an athletic trainer through Accelerated Rehabilitation with the Robert Morris University Chicago ice hockey program, serving as head athletic trainer with the four men's collegiate teams.  During this year, she also assisted in coverage of a variety of youth outreach events for both Athletico Physical Therapy and Accelerated Rehabilitation around the greater Chicago area. Prior to moving to Chicago, Kelsey spent a year as an athletic trainer at Alabama State University, where she worked with NCAA Division I athletes, focusing on women's volleyball, women's basketball, and softball. From August 2011- May 2013, Kelsey worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, while completing a MS in Behavioral Analysis of Sport and Exercise. While at SIUE, she gained experience primarily with club sports, football and men's ice hockey, while assisting with off season intercollegiate teams. From August 2009-June 2011, she spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Lindenwood University, in St. Charles, MO, while completing a MSEd in Health Management. Her primary sports coverage included women's soccer and softball.

Kelsey received her BS in Athletic training from Oklahoma State University in May 2009. As an athletic training student, she gained the foundation of her athletic training career in highly competitive, NCAA Division I setting. During the four year program, she spent much time gaining experience with women's soccer, spending an entire year as a senior student with the Cowgirls FC program.

Kelsey has been a certified athletic trainer through the NATABOC since June 2009. She is also licensed as an athletic trainer through the state of Illinois and is certified First Aid/CPR through the American Red Cross. She currently resides in Oak Park, Illinois.
