Director of Operations
Lou Reina has a strong soccer history in the state of Illinois as both a player and a coach. Reina’s playing career began in Bolingbrook where he was a member of the Bolingbrook Soccer Club. He went on to play at Bolingbrook High School. He finished his club experience as a member of Oak Lawn Tornados which turned into Sports Club and now is known as Chicago Magic. Reina went on to play for the University of Illinois at Chicago.
After graduating college in 1993 Reina went on to pursue a career in coaching. He returned to his high school alma mater to be the Assistant Girls Varsity Coach at Bolingbrook High School for three years. Reina then spent another three years as the Assistant Girls Varsity Coach at St. Ignatius High School in Chicago.
Reina continued to gain coaching experience outside the High School arena by dedicating himself to developing outstanding youth (U9-U12) talent. For three years Reina served as a staff coach with the Naperville Lightening before joining the Libertyville Premier staff from 1999-2003. In 2004 Reina accepted a position as the Greater Libertyville Soccer Association (GLSA) Director of Coaching. Reina helped develop the GLSA into one of the largest and strongest youth club's in Chicago. Many of the players Reina has worked with have gone on to compete at the highest level of club soccer in addition to becoming State, Regional, and National ODP players.
In 2007 Reina became the Eclipse Select East Director and in 2011 Reina became the Eclipse Select Director of Operations. Currently Reina holds a USSF ‘B’ license, a Brazilian ‘D’ license, and is First Aid/CPR certified. Reina resides in Downers Grove, Illinois with his wife, son, and daughter.
