has been selected as a finalist for the 2017 Senior CLASS Award
. The award, an acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, will go to an NCAA Division I senior athlete whose notable achievements reach four areas of excellence: the community, classroom, character and competition.

: Ben's Stature Best Measured by Size of Heart: "It does not matter if I am small or not," Ben said. "I am going to compete as if I am the biggest kid on the field. I think having that mentality going into every game is crucial. I know I am going to be outsized, but I am going to work hard to overcome that difference during each game."
Davison, Wildcats upend Maryland:
Northwestern junior defender Hannah Davison (Geneva, Ill.)
scored her first goal of the season during a 2-0 victory against Maryland
on Sunday in Evanston, Ill. The 21st-minute tally - a near-post header - gave Northwestern a two-goal cushion as Davison has now scored once in each of her three seasons for the Wildcats.
Gray nets first two for Howard:
It was a mixed-bag weekend for Howard, but the one impressive constant was senior forward Kela Gray (Chicago, Ill.)
. Gray tallied her first two goals of the season. She scored an unassisted goal during the Bison's 2-1 victory at Arkansas Pine Bluff
on Friday to open SWAC play. She followed that up with an equalizer on Sunday
against Grambling State, only to see the host side come away with a last-minute tally to earn a 2-1 victory.
Gray is looking to follow up a strong junior campaign that included a team-high 10 goals in 19 matches in 2016.
Elsewhere, Auburn junior goalkeeper Sarah Le Beau (Crystal Lake, Ill.)
now has 17 career clean sheets (four this year) following Sunday's 3-0 win against Kentucky
